Welcome Rabbi Daniel Taban!
Rabbi Taban received semicha from Rabbi Yochanon Zweig at the Talmudic University of Florida in 1990 while completing a master’s degree in Jewish Studies.
He served as a Rebbe in Yeshiva Elementary School in Miami for 8 years before becoming principal of Torat Hayim Hebrew Academy in Los Angeles—a role he served for 26 years.
Returning to the East Coast in 2019 to be closer to family, Rabbi Taban taught Gemara as a Rebbe in Mesivta of Greater Philadelphia, followed by a role as the Kriah Program Director at Kohelet Yeshiva for the past 6 years.
His extensive educational and administrative experience encompasses a broad array of skills and expertise, including curriculum development for a broad spectrum of learning needs, supervision of both secular and Judaic studies, faculty mentoring, as well as fundraising and recruitment.
Rabbi Taban and his family are excited to become part of the Politz community and are looking forward to building meaningful relationships with students and families.
